It is important that any therapy or intervention offered is rooted in the needs of the individual client and family and the evidence-based practice guidelines, therefore please get in touch for further information or some space to think about your therapy needs.

Therapeutic Parenting

It is recognised that when children are presenting with significant emotional and behavioural complexity, traditional models of parenting just don’t seem to work in the same way. This is not always because parents do not have good-enough parenting skills, but because children who have experienced significant disruption and trauma in their lives need a different type of reparative parenting. They may need re-parenting to enable them to trust in adults’ intentions and be open to their influence. Dr Bashir offers therapeutic parenting support and consultation in individual, couple and group contexts, to support parents and carers through their reparative parenting journey.
